NHS West Kent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will hold its Annual General Meeting next week.
The meeting, at the River Centre, Medway Wharf Road, Tonbridge, on Wednesday 22 October from 2pm to 3pm will be open to the public.
GPs from across Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells areas are now in charge of commissioning most health services for the population of west Kent and this is an important meeting in the calendar of the CCG, a statutory NHS body.
Dr Bob Bowes, Chair of the CCG and a GP at Kingswood Surgery in Tunbridge Wells, said: “The Member GP practices are the ultimate authority in the CCG’s governance structure, and this will be a chance for all our local GPs to come together to review progress in 2013-14 and to influence plans for the future. The public are very welcome to attend.”
The CCG’s Annual Report and Accounts for 2013/14 will be presented at the meeting. These have been publicised previously and can be found at http://www.westkentccg.nhs.uk/about-us/our-plans-reports-and-strategies/.
Hard copies may be obtained on request from Lizzie Howe, Customer Services Manager, on 01732 376050 or Lizzie.Howe@nhs.net.
The CCG’s Governing Body monthly meetings are also open to the public. The next meeting will take place at the Village Hotel, Maidstone on Tuesday 28 October from 3.30pm.
The agenda for the meetings, and minutes of previous meetings, are available on the CCG website – www.westkentccg.nhs.uk
